Plano-convex cylindrical lens

2021 10/18

The plano-convex cylindrical lens forms a linear image and is used to control the size of the beam in one direction only. Compared with spherical lenses, cylindrical lenses are more difficult to manufacture. It is necessary to select materials reasonably (texture, bubbles, impurities, uniformity), pay attention to the factors that affect scattering (scratches, dents, gloss), and high-quality grinding. It can be divided into non-coated and anti-reflective multilayer lens coated with visible light band. The design wavelength of the lens is 546.1nm (e-line of the green mercury spectrum). Since the focal length changes with wavelength, when it is used for other wavelengths, its focal length also changes.
