CO2 laser mirror

2022 04/13

The CO2 laser mirror is an important component in the laser light transmission system. CO2 Laser mirrors are optical elements that work using the law of reflection. Mirrors can be divided into three types: plane mirrors, spherical mirrors and aspheric mirrors according to their shapes. In the laser light path of medium and small power, the mirror can be used in two aspects. In the laser tube, the mirror can be used as a tail mirror. The mirror base has a certain curvature, which plays the role of oscillating the laser.
In order to transmit the high beam energy of high-performance lasers in optical components, the requirements for CO2 laser mirror coating also put forward a relatively high requirement. For optical films with more than 17 layers, we generally use vapor deposition to process lasers in production. Reflector. The dielectric film materials used in laser mirrors are almost non-absorbing materials, and can reach a reflectivity of 99% in some specific wavelength ranges, such as BK7 glass, quartz series, single crystal silicon, molybdenum and other substrates. In the laser beam of medium and small power, quartz and glass substrates are mostly selected, and molybdenum and silicon are used as substrates at the same time. Wipe resistance, the disadvantage is low reflectivity. Silicon mirrors are currently the most used mirrors and have good optical thermal properties. The surface of the silicon mirror is plated with gold film to improve the reflectivity, and a protective film can also be added to the reflective film of the mirror to make the original lens more resistant to wiping and improve its service life.
